House Appropriations Chairman, Rep. Adolph Comments on Governor’s 2014-15 Budget Proposal
HARRISBURG – House Appropriations Chairman, Rep. Bill Adolph (R-Delaware) issued the following statement following Governor Corbett’s budget address outlining the details of his proposed $29.4 billion state budget for the fiscal year 2014-15.

“Today represents the first day of what normally is a several month process to enact a state budget for FY14-15. Over the next several weeks, the House Appropriations Committee will host budget hearings to help us better understand the many layers of the Governor’s proposal.

“I think the blueprint presented by the Governor reaffirms the priorities of state government are, and always have been, educating the residents of this commonwealth, ensuring public safety and providing a social safety net for those who need it most.

“Over the coming months, I look forward to working with the members of the House, Senate and the Governor to enact an on-time budget that is reasonable, achievable and most importantly, sustainable."
